Our Optometry Clinic is open to the public and appointments can be made direct or by a specialist referral.

We are a world-class Optometry training clinic

Although we do take referrals from GPs and specialists, we also see the public directly and you can refer yourself. As well as providing affordable healthcare services to the community, the University of Auckland Clinics also provides practical training to our optometry students, usually in their last year of study.

Our students are supervised or overseen by an optometry professional and as such is a safe, professional environment for yourself and your family.

Please note we do not accept walk-ins, you must book an appointment with us.

To ensure we provide the best care and service to all our patients, appointments are typically booked 3 to 4 weeks in advance. We recommend scheduling early to secure your preferred time. If you have an urgent concern, please contact us directly and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
